Europe’s Eclipse of Intelligence – Freedom
The recent attempts by Europe's political leaders to crack down on political freedom are signs of desperation, which need to be resisted viciously and with a spark of hope.
It is impossible to discuss Europe’s Eclipse of Intelligence without mentioning the sorry state of freedom on the Old Continent. Europeans are being today subjected to attempts to restrict political freedom in ways not seen before in Western “democratic” systems, at least not so overtly. Of course, the heavily taxed and top-down regulated European societies are not economically “free” in any meaningful sense of the term. But politically, the situation has begun to degrade rapidly by the sheer brazenness of what is going on.
Accelerating Attempts at Political Coercion
As economic conditions worsen in Europe, with the international context becoming ever more fraught, the USA and their vassals in Europe are trying to resist the inevitable arrival of the multipolar world. In this context, the ruling minority in Europe, based in Bruxelles, London, Paris and Berlin, are openly attacking, or openly considering attacking, political freedom. This should be no surprise for those who have kept an eye on the publicly stated goals of Western globalist institutions, like World Economic Forum.
Political coercion in Europe is taking the form of government capture of institutions, suppression of the press, digital surveillance, and restrictions on protest rights. The scandalous police harassment of Free Palestine protestors in Germany come to mind.
Further, the EU recently created a “Rule of Law Conditionality Mechanism” that would allow it to withhold funds to governments that “breach” democratic principles; in other words, that do not follow the globalist agenda.
Increasingly restrictive laws on online content moderation and anti-terror legislation should raise serious concerns about state surveillance and freedom of expression in Europe. In particular, there is now a clear willingness to impose controls on ever more restive Western populations that are not fully buying the narrative that is being rolled out through MSM. This narrative goes as follows: privacy and anonymity are dangerous in the connected digital world; “hate speech” is not free speech; social networks are dangerous for children and should be monitored and controlled because they threaten democracy.
No one should be fooled by this. This is not done out of concern for the population or the children or the electoral process. It is not new but has been clearly accelerating of late and the pretexts for limiting political freedom can change with time. President Macron and other European leaders have for several years publicly expressed hostility towards social media platforms because they are considered threats to the power of the entrenched ruling minority.
In similar fashion, in the US revelations have shown that the US intelligence services forced or collaborated with social media platforms like Facebook and X, in order to delete or deprioritize messages that were considered politically sensitive (like information on Hunter Biden’s laptop a month before the 2020 election). Recently, Tiktok was forced to get a new owner in the US in the form of Zionist billionaire Larry Ellison, because this platform was contributing to sharply reducing support for Israel among youth in the US.
Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram, summarized the situation well, in a message that has now had around 15 million readers across platforms:
A dark, dystopian world is approaching fast — while we’re asleep. Our generation risks going down in history as the last one that had freedoms — and allowed them to be taken away.

Few politicians have been willing to stand up for freedom and have rejected the planned laws to further coerce EU citizens. But there are some in the EU Parliament, like Finnish MEP Aura Salla, who has been publishing regularly on the topic of privacy and state surveillance of speech online:
The Danish EU Presidency is pushing a new, even more radical and unbelievable, version of the so-called Chat Control (CSAM) proposal. The vote is now scheduled for October 14.
If the Hungarian proposal was bad, the Danish version is even more extreme pushing for a creation of an Orwellian world.
👉 It includes the mandatory mass scanning of private communications and aims to break secure encryption by forcing client-side scanning into the private messaging apps. ‼️
☝️ The proposal as it stands now would force companies to scan for, not only known but also, “unknown” material using experimental and unreliable AI.
☝️ The government and military accounts will be exempt from this intrusive and unreliable scanning. Sounds like an authoritarian leader’s dream. 😣
This poses a massive risk of exposing our private communications and photos. Also non-transparent AI would make decisions about leaking your personal conversations and private photos.
This plan violates blatantly our fundamental rights due to accessing the content of private citizens.
Freedom of speech, and political freedom generally, are clearly considered by the ruling minority to be more dangerous to allow now than in the past. This is because it could threaten its control of society and the narrative with which the majority has been spoon-fed for generations.
This is also why the Western political and financial oligarchy believes that elections must be strictly controlled and can only be allowed to be “free and fair” if the “right” candidate or party wins. This happens more and more seldom in Europe as disappointment and dissatisfaction among the majority spreads, which in turn incites the ruling class to turn the screws even tighter. An obvious vicious circle has been triggered.
The Western financial and political oligarchy is now so detached from the lives and interests of the ruled majority, that it is ready to sacrifice the welfare of its own societies in a futile attempt to maintain control over world affairs. This is a sign that cracks are beginning to appear in the current political structure in the West that both the ruling minority and ruled majority have accepted for at least half a century. It is a dangerous time, but therefore also one of hope.
“No One Can Stand Aside with Unconcern”
It is ironic that it should be necessary now to quote the Communist Rosa Luxemburg:
More people need the scales on their eyes to come off, to see the active attempts that are made to keep the ruled majority chained in a state of ignorant political slumber, without agency. The reality of these attempts at crack-down on political freedom in Europe needs to be shared widely, in particular with Europe’s children and all those adults who consider themselves “apolitical”.
In this time of crisis for Europe, there is an intellectual and moral obligation that rests on all thinking men and women, as Ludwig von Mises wrote in this remarkable quote from his work Socialism (1922):
“Everyone carries a part of society on his shoulders; no one is relieved of his share of responsibility by others. And no one can find a safe way for himself if society is sweeping towards destruction. Therefore everyone, in his own interests, must thrust himself vigorously into the intellectual battle. No one can stand aside with unconcern: the interests of everyone hang on the result. Whether he chooses or not, every man is drawn into the great historical struggle, the decisive battle into which our epoch has plunged us.”
- Ludwig von Mises (1881-1973).

Very interesting one Finn! Ludvig von Mises quote from 1922!!😳🫶what a visionary man🙌
agree, it's the same in the U.S. this is the new version of the "Red Scare" and then don't forget the Democrats will sit on the fence and not come for help because they have been the fuse for this fascistic drift. And then there’s Thiel and friends the "Matrix Mafia". They have insinuated themselves into the government under many administrations now, and have gotten way more public under Trump. Once the government is dependent on the tech would-be overlords, at what point does it stop being a government for the people and start being a government owned and operated by Palantir? https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/trump-irs-investigations-left-leaning-groups-democratic-donors-612a095e
