Excellent article. This retrospective is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to shift the perspective on the Russo-Ukrainian conflict by 180 degrees from what the Western media portrays. Until I delved into this history myself, I was living in a bubble of support for Ukraine in this conflict. This timeline fundamentally changes the optics on the entire world in general.

I invite you to my profile, especially to read the article "Why Russia Isn’t the Villain the West Desperately Wants It to Be?

Your piece provides the crucial factual, chronological backbone – the "what" and "when". My article attempts to build on that foundation by exploring the "why" – the psychological, cultural, and strategic imperatives of the West that created this dynamic.

Crucially, I add a perspective from the very heart of this geopolitical struggle: the view from inside Poland, a country that has been cast (and has often cast itself) as a frontline state in this manufactured confrontation. I explore our complex role – born from historical trauma – in amplifying the Western narrative and actively helping to build Russia into the archetypal villain that the West's geopolitical project requires.

I believe our pieces are highly complementary. Yours is the evidence; mine is the interpretation. Together, they form a more complete picture. I would greatly value your opinion on it.

A suggestion for inclusion : 12 CIA bases on the Ukraine Russian frontier. Confirmed if I remember rightly by New York Times.

What would the USA have done if Russia or China had established 12 espionage bases on the Mexican border?
