i would enjoy a good read on CBDC's. Certainly appear as if they will create more monetary chicanery opportunities..

I don't think I have ever met a European libertarian even though Mises and Hayek originated much of the modern libertarian monetary thinking. Can't use the word 'liberal' anymore to describe their writings. Too many Americans and Canadians will think I am writing about Democrats.

To me, there are quite a few good writers on Substack. The problem is you are preaching to the choir in most cases. I suppose as events continue to sour more people will start searching for sensible solutions.

Got a bit of your first piece to finish reading. Thank-you for your efforts.

No one ever said living in a dystopia would be easy.

You are right, there are not many of us in Europe despite many of these ideas originating in Europe, notably Vienna and Paris... Indeed, the world liberal has been hijacked, so I generally don't use it either.

I moved out the Digital Euro part from the end of one of the pieces, because the piece was long, and also because this topic is so important. I'm making a separate post on that soon.

To paraphrase Upton Sinclair; "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his paycheck depends on him not understanding."

Do most of the voter's in the EU actually support these intellectually bankrupt ideas to borrow and spend?

It doesn't seem possible to me that the typical EU denizen can believe, much less support, more calamities disguised as economic growth, military Independence or whatever slogan the Eurocrats publish to sell such nonsense as public policy.

Indeed, great quote that one. Most Europeans unfortunately have no clue what's going on. I and other are trying to inform the public. A wake up call is sorely needed. Secondly, many Europeans don't have a clue about free markets and think that their salvation depends on "helicopter money" and more statism. Tragic.
